April 29th: Baltimore, The Yankee Dynasty, ESPN alternatives and NFL Draft

This week on Gotta Say It, Our first hour features!

Matt, Marvin, Ranese, Steph and Wheels discuss the issues going on in Baltimore, its connection to sports and a discussion of the empty stadium game between the Orioles and the White Sox.

Stephanie Sottile uncovers more information regarding another issue involving the Orioles and why they almost decided to forfeit against the Toronto Blue Jays, as more issues than the spongy Rogers centre turf come into play.

Matt sits down with Lyle Spatz and Steve Steinberg authors of the new book “The Colonel and Hug: The Partnership That Transformed the New York Yankees.” Discussing the “Yankee jinx,”  The Federal League, the development of the great Yankee Dynasty and more! Thank you to our friends at University of Nebraska press for Steve and Lyle being on the show.

It’s the week of the NFL Draft and we here at GSI talk about  “when money isn’t really money,” the pressure to draft players you really don’t want but do so anyway, getting rid of the draft, State vs. Federal statutes, and one thing that would kill middle market teams in the NFL.
Also, Stephanie fills us in on the issues going on between Verizon and the NFL and Verizon trying to make it right for NFL Fans.
